WHY I CHOSE CORT

When I started planning out the lineup for Fuzzy’s, I wasn’t looking to fill the walls with just big brand names or chase hype. I wanted instruments that punch above their weight—guitars that feel right in your hands, sound great through an amp, and won’t break the bank. Cort guitars checked a lot of those boxes right out of the gate.

Cort’s been around for decades, building guitars for a bunch of other companies you’ve probably heard of. But it’s their own name on the headstock that’s started turning heads lately. What really impressed me was how consistently their guitars deliver—especially once you pick one up and actually play it. Solid hardware, great fretwork, and tonewoods that usually belong on guitars twice the price. No fluff, just a ton of value.

I’ve brought in a tight, intentional mix of models that cover a lot of ground. The G300 Pro is a sleek, high-performance build with roasted maple, stainless frets, and Seymour Duncans—it’s fast, loud, and easy to love. The KX307 brings extended-range tone with a raw, honest finish and a lot of low-end clarity. The G280 Select in Chameleon Burst is Cort’s modern spin on a classic S-style, with a coil-splittable humbucker and a finish that shifts under the lights. And the X700 Duality II brings boutique vibes and big versatility—beautifully carved, ultra-comfy, and loaded with features that make it stand out.

The other thing that sold me? Cort is one of the few brands making guitars at a high level while keeping prices sane. That matters when you’re just starting out, or when you want a second guitar that can hang without costing a fortune.

At Fuzzy’s, the focus is on quality, reliable gear that makes you want to play more. Cort fits that ethos, so they’ve earned their spot on the wall. Come by and plug one in—you’ll get it as soon as you feel the neck.
